Behind every BIOSWING® chair is a unique story of innovation and purpose. In the early 1980s, company founder Eduard Haider developed the first decoupled and oscillating work chairs in Bavaria, Germany. His work was inspired by the findings of Dennis McGinty, who demonstrated that controlled oscillating movement can enhance both physical and mental performance.
This led to the invention and patenting of the BIOSWING® seating system in 1983 — a breakthrough that introduced active, movement-based sitting.
Since then, the technology has been continuously refined in collaboration with universities, medical specialists, and therapists. Today, BIOSWING® solutions are used not only in offices, but also in therapy and training environments, trusted by professionals who work with human movement and health every day.
